What to make for dinner?

    Yeah, I can understand that GA but I was talking about chilidogs, not a bowl of chili.
    I like Wendy's too, but the difference in a bowl style of chili and a meat sauce on a dog are so large that their really two entirely different meals. Like a plate of spaghetti and meat sauce is totally different from a 3 way (or 4 or 5 way) from Skyline or Gold Star or one of the other places that specializes in plates of spaghetti with the slightly spicy meat sauce and the same sauce on top of hot dogs. Both of them crowned with a fluffy mound of finely shredded cheddar cheese.
    A bowl requires some small chunks of meat to be satisfy me, but the difference is that a hot dog sauce is much thinner without any chunks in it.
    Apparently they boil the meat to get the thin consistency.

    I do! It's a little place called My Kitchen but as far as I know there is only the one location. They are open 24/7 and the menu is incredible!

    I'm kinda partial to chili dogs from the Wienerschnitzel chain. They're mostly west coast the sauce has some kick but not overly spicy.

    Just chili on a dog hasn't ever done it for me. It's gotta be a loaded dog, and don't you dare put ketchup on mine. Mustard? Yes please!

    It has been so long...but the best one I ever had included.
    -bun, steamed and fresh (hoagie style, hollow it out some)
    -beer boiled dog
    -chili (like Ming said, smooth.)
    -that individually wrapped cheese everyone makes fun of.
    -minced onion
    -sammich pickle
    -mad German (sauerkraut)

    Everything that wasn't mustard and chili goes under the dog. Add the dog, then the chili, then the mustard and one more slice of cheese.

    They'd put the whole thing back into the steamer and just let everything just come together under the heat.

    I'll let you guys go take an antacid or three now.

    Well I decided I wanted pizza, but didn't have any. I made the next best thing. Pepperoni rolls, a West Virginian delicacy. I really cheated. They aren't the real thing, but good anyway.

    for a fee....if I wasn't already heading over to around Lincolnton and Statesville. Of course that might change because I haven't heard back about Lincolnton yet.

    If you get thru West Virginia, see about picking one up. The real thing...it is more like a roll that has pepperoni or pepperoni and cheese inside. I think Gino's has some of the best ones. They are so good. I had been working on finding a decent recipe to make them. They weren't bad, but a little too much bread.

    Actually I found good pizza in West Virgina. Place across the TA in Wheeling called Dicarlos. I know they have several locations but that was always a must stop even if that truckstop is a mess to get around in.

    They cook the pizza with whatever toppings then throw the mozzarella on top after it's cooked and let it melt on. I made it for my kids that way and now they don't want pizza any other way.

    The shelf life ain't that long though, that's just garden variety gratitude, not the undying version. That's a upgrade that's available if you buy me the whole restaurant......
